MIL-DTL-26482 Series I - PT

PT/451 connectors in accordance with the American Mil-C-26482Standard in crimp, solder, wire wrapp, PCB versions, with different sealing levels which are well known in aeronautics, military and industrial applications. A second industrial crimp version called  SPT is also presented and is intermatable with the PT/451 series.PT/451 Series provides you with a multitude of possibilities through their different backshell possibilities, contact terminations, insert arrangements... The same product can be ordered with different designations. The standard P/N corresponds to both connector body and rear accessory.

MIL-DTL-26482 Series I - 62GB

62GB Series can be supplied in brass or stainless steel.
The normal shell finish used, which has a high resistance to corrosion, is zinc cobalt olive drab. Other finishes may be supplied to special order, such as cadmium plate which is available by adding deviation (714) to the end of part number.
Inserts are of polychloroprene rubber compounded to an Amphenol specification. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C, and the connectors have gold-plated contacts designed for soldered connections. Configurations for size 20 contacts range between 2 contacts in the size 8 12.7mm (0.5in diameter) shell up to a maximum of 61 contacts in the size 2436.1 mm (1.5in diameter) shell. Intermediate sizes, and contact data for heavier current ratings.

MIL-DTL-26482 Series II

Amphenol broadens their Miniature  Cylindrical Family  of Connectors with the addition of the product line of  MIL-C-26482, Series 2 connectors. This series provides a bayonet coupling connector with crimp rear insertable, rear releasable contacts.

• Medium size, environmentally resistant connector.
• Recommended operating voltage to 1000 VAC (RMS) at sea level.
• Quick positive coupling assured by 3 point bayonet coupling system.
• Visual confirmation of complete coupling.
• Eliminates mismating by the use of five key/keyway design.
• Insertion and removal of contacts from the rear of the connectors assures no damage to the front that might affect the sealing characteristics.
• Utilizes same standard qualified rear release type plastic tool for contact insertion and removal
• Contacts are qualified to MIL-C-39029 requirements - BIN coded (three colour bands), and are crimped with standard crimp tools per MIL-C-22520.
• Grommets are constructed of tear-resistant elastomer and experience no degradation when exposed to a broad range of fluids.
• Sealing over a range of wire diameters is assured by a triple webbed grommet at the rear of the connector.
• Closed entry socket side of the insert is designed with a lead-in chamfer and a hard face that will accept a pin contact bent within pre-established limits.
• Elastomer interfacial seal on the pin side has raised barriers around each pin which displace into the socket chamfer when mated, providing a positive moisture seal.
